JONESANTIQUES! Description This charming piece is a darling little molded cardboard basket with a mechanical puppy! It has wonderful patina (the aged look that things get over time). There is some slight soil, especially in the grooves of the plastic handle. The basket is in great condition with one small sticker scar (visible in the photos) on the back. It has a key on the back that has darkened with age, as have the metal brads on the handles. The puppy moves and pops up and squeaks when the toy is wound. It works great! The puppy is plush over cardboard, with a plush ruff around his neck. It is soooo cute. The puppy has plastic eyes, a metal nose, and a felt tongue. It is vintage, from the 1940's, and although not marked, probably made in Japan. The edging around the top of the basket is real fabric.
